How To Prepare For Microneedling


Consult with a skin specialist in advance of a microneedling procedure to ensure you are prepared and have taken the right steps. How Painful Is Micro-Needling?


Micro-needling punctures created by the needles are very small and are not painful, but you may feel a slight prickling sensation as the needles penetrate the skin. After the treatment your skin might be slightly pink, itchy and/or bruised, it could feel like sunburn, but this will go down quickly. A numbing cream can be applied before treatment to minimize any discomfort.


How long does it take for collagen to rebuild after microneedling treatments?


It usually takes about four to six weeks for the skin to start producing new collagen and heal the micro wounds. You may see some initial results within a few days, but it typically takes several weeks for the full effect of microneedling to be visible. It's important to follow your nurse esthetician's recommendations to ensure optimal results.


Am I A Candidate For Microneedling?
